Dear VRTers & Videolib subscribers,
The ALA VRT Atlanta Gala 2002 is going to be great!=20
This is your opportunity to tour the Fox Theatre, a National Historic =
Landmark, to meet members of the Atlanta Indie Film Community, and to meet =
with friends & colleagues. So, go to www.ala.org/vrt and print out the =
gala flyer. [Our new webmaster Cecilia Hurt has done a great job, so be =
sure to check out the newly updated VRT website!] Or, look for the text =
version of the order form in a recent videolib posting from your VRT =
Treasurer, Nell Chenault. Then complete the ticket request form, write =
that check, and mail it right away so you won't be left out of the fun. =
Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event, and there are exactly =
150 tickets to be sold.=20
Please note that your 'VRT Spring News" should arrive in the mail by early =
next week with more information about the gala, including the flyer insert =
to purchase tickets =AF another opportunity to fill out that form!=20
If you're wondering why the VRT Gala tickets are so "inexpensive," that's =
due to your hard working Executive Board and especially to the "generosity=
of our financial supporters." As of April 30, these are: California =
Newsreel, Distribution Video & Audio, Films for the Humanities and =
Sciences, Follett Audiovisual Resources, Ingram Library Services, Library =
Video Company, Live Wire Media, Lucerne Media, Midwest Tape, Quality =
Books, and Video Librarian. We also thank those vendors who have already =
donated door prizes for the event.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there! lg
