Juliana, at the Duluth Public Library we decided not to have video's processed due to the cost of processing. When we checked a few years ago it was about $20-$25 to process one video. I am not sure what the current prices are.

We do have our S.O. plan books-on-cassette processed by the individual companies but that is all the Media we have processed outside the library.

I am interested in knowing if any other libraries have outsourced all or part of the processing of AV materials. I'm especially interested in videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs. I know that Midwest Tape, Crimson, Library Video and Follett Audio Visual all do some sort of processing for an additional fee. Have you used any of these vendors, or can you recommend another one?

TIA,
Juliana
