The snag some libraries have with taking holds on a/v is when they
have traditionally booked titles for specific dates. Our local public
library had to develop a circulating collection which is on open shelves
and can be "reserved" thru the OPAC, and a closed collection which can be
"booked" for organizations for specific dates.
Our local public system will fine you if you reserve an item and don't
come in to collect it or don't cancel your hold.
