I know this has been discussed before, and I think I know what the =
answer will be, but would appreciate corroboration or correction from =
those in the know. One of our instructors is taking a class on a field =
trip to Alabama as part of a civil rights segment in his syllabus and =
wants to show Spike Lee's Four Little Girls to the group en route. He =
has a promo copy and wants to know if it is legal for him to use it in =
this setting. My initial response was "No," but since he is using it as =
a part of class instruction (albeit in a "mobile classroom" setting), I =
am not sure if I am correct. We have a copy in our collection already, =
but do not generally send our programs afield in this manner. We can =
purchase a traveling copy - I suspect he will do this again if the first =
venture meets with success - but would rather not if it is not =
necessary.
Thanks in advance for your help,
