The film is owned by Fox and HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON VIDEO
You can write them if you want but it would be an utter waste of time
Studios don't care and to certain degree this would be understandable on
title like this. Fox owns literally THOUSANDS of films and they can't put
them all out. For a company like Fox to put out this title they would most
likely want to sell 10,000 or more copies which would be virtually
IMPOSSIBLE with a film like this. Fox owns MANY more important films that
they have never released including ALL of their silent films ( Sunrise, The
Iron Horse etc) Lots of John Ford films of the thirties and most tragically
of all Visconti's THE LEOPARD. The video you saw for sale was an illegal
bootleg ( which of course Fox could care less about stopping). On the plus
side this film used to run A LOT on AMC and will most likely turn up on
Fox's own movie channel. Your patrons best shot is to keep an eye for it on
a cable TV broadcast ( there is a web site that lists ALL movies being
broadcast in a given month but I forgot the address . I am sure someone on
the list must know it
