One more bit on Kandahar -- Makhmalbaf wrote a long article, THE BUDDHA WAS
NOT DEMOLISHED IN AFGHANISTAN; HE COLLAPSED OUT OF SHAME, which consists
partly of his observations about the situation in Afghanistan, and partly
his own experiences in shooting KANDAHAR in Afghanistan. This has been
published as a book in France, but the text is translated on the makhmalbaf
