3M Security Strips & Spine Labels

We have encountered a problem printing title and call number info on
spine labels for our videos. Currently we are using the 3M video security
strip DVM-1 which comes with 3/4"x5-3/4" spine labels on sheets which will
only work in our typewriters. According to 3M, this is the only way they
are available. We are trying to avoid buying additional spine labels on
8-1/2"x11" sheets that will work in our printers. Our 3M rep said that he
thought there was a way to print on those they provide, but had no details.
If anyone has info on or a way how to make 3M video spine labels work in a
printer, we would sure like to know about it.

I have also been instructed to ask if anyone has found a security
strip comparable to the 3M DVM-1 that can be purchased without buying spine
labels that won't work in printers. We have 3M model 3802 DM without the
upgrade recommended for use with the new H1security hub.

Pre-thanks to all.
