To all who enterd the fair-use discussion:

Just as I thought, it depends on how laws and guidelines are interpreted
and used. I will pass your discussion on to the faculty member, an
ethicist who tries to practice what he preaches, and let him come to his
own conclusion.

Thanks for your opinions. I, too, wrestled with many of the issues you raised.
