Closed stacks, although our faculty is invited to browse and often
help us in the check-out procedures. We have over 4500 purchased titles,
and over 1300 local lectures. Our purchased collection is driven by
instructor requests, most often we only have 1 copy. We reserve videos for
instructors, and have 11 viewing carrels as well as 3 media rooms for
students to view, so we can't afford to not know where a video is at any
given time. We lose only a couple titles a year -

Subject: Request for Information

Dear Videolibbers,
This is an urgent request for information/opinions on open stack v. closed
stack storage of videos in an academic library. If you have pros and cons
that you can share with me, I would really appreciate it.
Patty
