Ok I am not a lawyer but I play one on the internet. By all means go to web
sites but please make sure that your professor understands that it is not
THAT complicated. If he wants to show a film/video/DVD is his/her regular
class , no problem IF the screening is open to anyone OTHER than the
enrolled students it is NOT covered by the face to face exemption. It is
important to remember that this has NOTHING to do with whether or not
admission is charged ( a very common misconception) and there is no such
thing as "educational" use ( a term used by vendors and users alike).
The exemption is for films basically used in real classes, limited to real
students enrolled in that class.
