If you staff and/or building situation is such that you really can't have
people staying late, a 15-minute rule that says you can't retrieve
materials within 15 minutes of closing works fairly well, giving you time
to close up your area on time. As long as it's posted so you can point to
the sign and say, "I'm sorry, but..." people usually understand.

We're somewhat flexible--if they come in at T minus 10 minutes knowing they
need VR 4321, we'll get it. If they come in wanting "a video...", no way.
