Frankly I hate those " Best" lists. However there are two that I admire. One
was done by the BFI at the same time as the awful AFI list and was a really
lovely list covering International Feature films up to about 1990. The other
is not a" Best"list but The National Registry done every year by the
Library of Congress. I think they have about 250 titles over the various
years. It covers American films of any kind ( short, feature, animation etc)
It is a deliberate mix of "great" films and historically & culturally
important films.

I wish to point out that the BFI, National Registry, Jonathan Rosenbaum
lists all contain KISS ME DEADLY ( My favorite film) Personally I don't see
the need for the nother 99 plus titles.

PS Note to fellow Cub Fans on the list ( you know who you are). At least we get to watch Sammy swat em out for five more years.
