How about a "Best" of list from your Public Librarians on the listserv?
I'd be glad to send you what I think are the "Best" videos in my
collection~~~and not all of them would be Feature Films. Let me know.

Does a VideoHound 4-bone rating count for anything?

As for awards, some of the awards books contain an amazing number of
awards, going well beyond the Oscars. My favorite is Michael Gebert's
"Encyclopedia of Movie Awards." It's entertaining, including commentary
essentially saying "This turkey may have won, but Nominee X is the better
film and should have received the Oscar because..." And of course there are
the Razzies, awarded for worst film...
