For what it's worth, I saw a finished film version in Philadelphia
about 5 years ago with a score by Schostakovich (sp?) assembled from
bits and pieces found hither and yon by former Santa Fe Chamber Music
Festival director, Sheldon Rich. It was stunning. Sheldon is an ardent
music historian who made a huge investment into researching the music
and the film. I believe the event in Philly was sponsored by the
Philadelphia Symphony.
