Faculty are allowed to use a non-cataloged AV item because I always know where to find them should they become negligent. Students, however, are allowed to use non-cataloged materials in the library ONLY.

Hello all:

We often get requests from faculty (and students) to use AV items that are
not cataloged or are "in process". We currently do a manual charge for
titles that are not in the database, but on occasion, some materials are
not returned.

Do any of you have specific procedures that you use to handle this kind of
situation?

All comments/suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Kim
