I've been intending to email the list with my news, but just haven't had
time (and don't have time now either). My fight to maintain my title as
AV Librarian did not succeed last fall and I became Acquisitions
Librarian. I so appreciate the people who took the time to respond to me
last fall and to offer moral support. I just didn't have the heart to
email you with the results. I do thank you for your time and effort. I
continued to do everything I had as AV Librarian in spite of change of
title. I mentioned a hostile situation in my email about the title
change. It has been resolved by moving me from the Library to
Developmental Programs. What a relief! At this point my feelings about
the profession of librarianship are so negative that I don't mind changing
careers for the few years until my retirement. However, I hate leaving
the AV and reference portions of my job and mostly regret leaving the
wonderful mix of people who use the library. I had less than a week to
finish things and pack my office before starting my new job this Tuesday.
I don't even know what my title is officially, but it will be something
resembling what is in my signature.

I plan to remain on this list for a while because I have become so
attached to it. You are a wonderfully supportive and helpful group of
people. I wish I could have met you all in person. Thank you so much for
being there.

I am going to send a separate email to ask a Copyright question I know the
answer to, but I need to have authority to back me up. I would appreciate
answers I can forward to the Library Director and administration.

Thank you to each of you for being the wonderful individual you are.
