To the best of my knowledge, within the City University of New York, we do
not rent out videos to the individual departments and or campuses within our
University. Most of the CUNY campuses are members of the CECT/IMC, (an
in-house committee within CUNY) consortium which gives the entire University
access to the CUNY media collection. Bookings are placed with the media
bookers and depending upon availability sent to the individual campus. This
in house membership allows CUNY media centers to network, peruse collections
and develop further enhancements with respect to media and instruction. As
far as rentals are concerned, it is not our practice.

for campus departments, for example from the filmakers library? Or is the
general practice that the department would pay for the rental? Thanks for
input and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
