Chris:

Could you please forward any replies to me. We are in the process of
implementing our Voy. Med. Sched. and I would be interested in any feedback
you get. Thanks.

Subject: Endeavor media scheduler - Who is

We have had Endeavor's Voyager media scheduler installed for several
months but have yet to find a way to effectively use it. The problems we
encountered with the scheduler include the number of actions required to
book anything, the hassle of renewing an item, the lack of integration with
the OPAC, the list goes on. We have avoided implementing it because we
foresee long lines while desk staff are frantically mouse-clicking and an
increase in human error eclipsing the number of errors we hoped to
eliminate by acquiring the system.

If anyone has a success story with the Voyager scheduler it would inspire
me to use it as a model to emulate. Since this topic may be of limited
interest to most videolib readers, I welcome you to contact me directly at
clewis@american.edu. if there is enough interest I could probably get a
listserv set up at AU for Voyager scheduler users.
