What do you think are the most most notable videos of the past year? The
Notable Videos for Adults Committee needs your help! We are soliciting
nominations for the 2001 Notable Videos list, which will be selected at
Midwinter 2001 in Washington, D.C. Take a look at your collection and
identify the very best from the 1999 and 2000 releases. Then go to the
Video Round Table web site and send me your nominations:

You can submit your nominations on the web or print the form and send it
to me by fax or mail. We need one nomination form per title, with
complete distributor information. To get an idea of the kinds of titles
we seek, refer to the lists for 1999 and 2000, also available on the VRT
web site: <http://www.ala.org/vrt/criteria.html>. However, the first two
lists have emphasized documentaries and personal narratives; we also want
to include performance, video art, and instructional/how-to titles. So
send us your nominations! The deadline for the 2001 list is October 31,
2000.

Special note to National Media Market attendees: The Market is a great
place to find the best among the new releases. Please nominate any
outstanding titles you see there that you think we should consider for the
list. I'll have a pile of nomination forms with me at the Market, in case
you need some. Thanks for your help!
