3M Security Systems

We have an ancient 3M security system, so we don't desensitize our tapes.
We just hand them around the gate or turn the gate off when someone leaves
the Media Center with a videotape. However, one of the residence hall
libraries here is buying a new security system for that library and they
are wondering about the sensitizing/desensitizing units that are safe for
use with magnetic media. I'm assuming they really work as advertised, but
I thought I would check with you. Could libraries that use these 3M units
give me a report of your experience with them? Thanks... -- Kris
