We got rid of all of our records many years ago. They took up too much
space and were never used.

As for the sound, they still have the best sound. People think because CD's
don't have the pops and crackles they are superior to records. But when
they equalize the music when producing the CD's it flattens the tonality,
so you don't get the dynamic range of sound that you get with vinyl. Plus,
when albums are remastered from the original tapes, those tapes could have
been sitting in vaults for decades and in the process losing sound. So once
again, the original vinyl is the best sound quality.
