There are only 40 tickets left for this year's Video Round Table Gala
and many notable media librarians have yet to buy theirs. So don't
hesitate, send a check today. here are the details:

On Sunday, July 9, 2000, 7-10:30pm, this summer's Video Round Table Gala
will be held at Facets Multimedia, 1517 Fullerton Ave., Chicago

This year's guest, Studs Terkel, will be interviewed by Michael
Wilmington, film critic for the Chicago Tribune.

The Gala will also feature a buffet dinner (including several vegetarian
selections), beer/wine bar, entertainment, door prizes, and maybe a few
surprises. It is always one of the best parties at the ALA Annual
conference.

The capacity of Facets isn't very high and we have been steadily selling
tickets so it's important that you send in your request now if you want
to be certain to get a ticket.

Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Please send a check
or money order, payable to Video Round Table, to Chris Lewis, American
University Library, Media Services, 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW,
Washington, DC 20016-8046

The deadline for purchasing tickets via mail is June 15, 2000
(postmarked by that date). Any remaining tickets will be available at
the VRT table at the ALA Annual Conference Center.

Hopefully this won't cause a problem but I will not be accepting credit
card payments for VRT Gala tickets this year.
