Discovery Channel videos

Dear Videolibers,

You may recall earlier this month I posted a note about Discovery Channel
not selling videos to my university because they did not have public
performance rights on them. Several notes were posted about how to get
around this.

Well, there is yet another solution.

We sent a revised purchase order to Discovery, cancelling the items they
would not sell. They then shipped every one of the cancelled items.

I called this morning; the customer service rep still said as they saw it,
schools needed public performance rights. But she also said they could not
refuse to sell to us. The bottom line is, they sent the tapes, I have
them, and we will pay for them.

Just amazing some days, isn't it?
