Subject: Re: Lou Tellegen-- silent screen actor

I've always pronounced it Tellejen ( soft "g"), but I'm not sure if that
is correct. Eraly in his career his name was always spelled with a hyphen as
Lou-Tellegen, which suggests to me that this was a stage name and possibly a
corruption of a longer name--but I have no real knowledge about this.

There are some interesting comments about Tellegen in my article "Gerry in
Hollywood" posted on the Silents Majority website.

On the other hand, there was an old saw (the exact words I forget) that
reference to Tellegen being a ladies man and included the words "tell again"
