Hi All.

I've been talking a fair bit to Ed Wall of Pierian Press re recent
interesting developments at Media Review Digest. Having fooled around with
the online beta version of the database, I'm pretty excited. I think Ed
and Pierian are headed into some really great directions. One of the cool
features being offered with this db is the ability to link from cataloging
records to review citations for specific films in the MRD database.
Pierian is currently working on a little software routine which will allow
catalogers to pop the url link (in correct MARC format) into the cataloging
record.

Info re this linkage feature and a canned demo are at:
http://www.pierianpress.com/mrd-link.htm

I've arranged for a guest logon to the MRD db for videolib list members for
the next few weeks. Go to: http://www.pierianpress.net

PASSWORD: guest

Check it out!
