I still keep (or kept, since I am now in a new job) the latest cat from
most vendors. I keep a representative sampling of jobbers' cats to let
branches leaf through for ideas. I started a subject file (not sears
listings! just subjects the way patrons ask for them). I word-processed
it, and when I get a new catalog for a subject or a catalog covering a new
subject, I just pencil the new info on the print-out. Then once a year or
so, I change the word-processed document. That way it never gets to be too
demanding. I also get pages or volunteers to file. By this time, there
are few additions.
