For those of you involved with the ACRL/ARTS/Film and Broadcast Studies
(FABS) Discussion Group, (say that five times real fast), we will be
meeting as usual at ALA Midwinter on Sunday, January 16 from 2-4pm in the
Marriott Rivercenter, Salon K. All interested should attend. You need not
be an ACRL or ARTS section member.

I will include the text of an article I submitted to the ARTS newsletter
about the next meeting:

>Film and Broadcast Studies
>Hello to all! As the incoming Chair of the Film and Broadcast Studies
>(FABS) discussion group, I am looking forward to the next few years. This
>has been a fun group, offering something not found elsewhere within ALA. I
>hope to see the regulars back and some new faces too.
>For those of you who have not attended a FABS meeting, you should! Some of
>the topics covered to date include a critical examination of disc-based and
>online resources for reviews, acquisition and curriculum support. Since we
>have had a good look at what others are putting out there, I thought we
>might put our knowledge and expertise to use by working together to
>construct a FABS web site. I know...I know....another web site. But a
>well thought-out and organized site could be a valuable resource to many of
>us who do not have major curricular support for these topics, or the staff
>time to build our own.
>This idea presents many questions and options which we can take up in San
>Antonio. See you there!
