3. Discussion of Changed Policy and Procedures now in Effect at NRLF.

Following a general discussion of the revised NRLF policies and procedures that had been circulated to the TALAG group, particularly the concern that items at NRLF deposited by Affiliated Libraries in “limited use” status could end up being de-accessioned in cases where a similar (identical) item is deposited by another library, it was agreed that:

o Linda Vida will contact Scott Miller at NRLF to request a list of those items deposited by Affiliated Libraries who use NRLF that are currently in the “restricted use” or “limited circ” status designation for review by the libraries.

o At a near-future TALAG meeting with Library management delivery issues that persist for some libraries requesting materials from NRLF will be included in the agenda for discussion and resolution

4. Meetings with TALAG and Library and CDL

Possible issues to be discussed include the status of the integrated library system (ILS), the Google Books project, changes to RLF policies, the Bibliographic Services Task Force results, library space considerations.

Nick Robinson will contact Laine Farley, (Interim Executive Director of the CDL) to meet with TALAG later this Fall.
