Guidelines for Closure of Library E-mail Accounts

  1. LHRD will advise LSO (via lsoalerts@lists) of an employee's departure date and when their e-mail should be removed.
  2. LHRD will inform the employee when the e-mail account will be removed. Employees leaving the library will have their e-mail account removed immediately. Employees retiring will be offered 30 days before their e-mail account is removed. It is the retiree's responsibility to set up a "vacation" message to notify people of their new e-mail address. Retirees can get UCB accounts from Andre Porter at asporter@berkeley.edu.
  3. LSO will remove the e-mail account on the date provided by LHRD.
