US Department of Agriculture:
The Library has agreements with two arms of the USDA (Forest Service and the Agricultural Research Service) Forest Service includes Forest Products and the Pacific Southwest Research Station. ARS includes the Plant Gene Expression Center and the Western Regional Research Center Library and the National Agricultural Library (NAL).
*Forest Products: Effective July 1, 1994, the Forest Products Laboratory took over the management and funding of the Forest Products Library (formerly managed and funded by the UCB Library.) The UCB Library continues to provide acquisition and cataloging services without charge for an indefinite period of time. UCB may also put library materials "on deposit" with FPRO, as long as UCB pays for binding of materials it owns. UCB Library also agreed to provide "BAKER-like" services to staff at the Lab. In exhange, the Forest Products Library will provide access and circulation privileges to UC faculty, students and staff, and will respond to legitimate interlibrary borrowing requests.

*Info PSW, the library of the Pacific Southwest Research Station: A division of the US Forest Service. Used to be located on the Berkeley campus, now located in Albany. Most document delivery requests that used to be handled through InfoPSW via UCB collection are now redirected to UC Davis -- UC Davis has a contract with NAL to act as the Research Document Delivery Service for the Western Region for all employees of the USDA. InfoPSW still uses library card on a proxy basis for some loans; sends runners to UCB to photocopy material that is not owned at UC Davis.

*Western Regional Research Center Library:A division of the Agricultural Research Service (a regional library for the National Agricultural Library), USDA.
The National Agricultural Library provides free photocopies and loan to UCB in exchange for UCB providing free photocopy and loan to the librarian/staff at the Western Regional Research Center. As of 1995, Western Regional Research Center is providing services to UCB, but is not availing itself of UCB materials through this reciprocal agreement. (They do so when their budget allows for a student to page materials.)
