Contract and Grant
Administration
LBS provides administrative support
and oversight for grants awarded to UC Berkeley Library Principal Investigators
(P.I.). The mission of the LBS staff is to facilitate the administrative side
of grant funding, so that (P.I.) can focus on the research itself, with assurance
that the bureaucratic side is well managed.
LBS advises P.I.'s on funding
agency requirements, interprets agency and UC policies, and offers general grant
management guidelines. We act as a liaison with granting agencies, the Sponsored
Projects Office, and Extramural Funds Accounting, and provide assistance to
meet agency reporting requirements. Budget projections and expenditure reports
are prepared on a regular basis.
