GETTING STARTED
Access to GLADIS maintenance functions requires authorization and the appropriate training.

The GLADIS Maintenance Subsystem is used to maintain records in the automated database. A
number of the GLADIS maintenance functions are
used by public service units to perform local technical processing and to enter unit-specific information into records.

These Maintenance functions involve the holdings portion of records. Units and Shelving Locations
with appropriate GLADIS authorization can enter
Call Number fields for their unit. Maintenance to
Call Numbers and bibliographic portions of records
is limited to Central Technical Processing and Self-Cataloging Units.
