 Penny reported that Systems will not be doing anything to Gladis
over the holiday break.

3) Minutes approval
—Penny made a small change under LSO report to read “there is a small
committee...(not LSO)”. The change will be made and the minutes were
approved. (??)

4) Undergraduate Reserves--—Jon Thomas
Following the email requesting information regarding the locations of
Undergraduate Reserves, Jon had compiled the information into a
spreadsheet. Corrections were taken. Most locations handle their own
undergraduate reserves, but not all, according to various criteria such as
course level or a faculty request. Discussion will continue when the
Reserves Group reconvenes. Jon will make corrections and resend the
policy summaries.

5) Reserves handling question--—Brian Light
Discussion was held around the topic of how reserves were or were not
renewed. After lengthy discussion, Brian decided to send an email survey
to circ group and them summarize the results for review at the next
meeting. Penny will send a list of those units that are fining units.

6) December meeting question--Brian Light
The third Tuesday of December is during finals, so we will skip December’s
meeting and reschedule January’s meeting to January 10th (instead of
17th), 2:00-3:30, if possible. If not possible, we will move to February
21st, 2:00-3:30. We will be notified.

7) Meeting times for 2006
All meetings will be held in Room 303, Doe. A list of the year’s schedule
will be sent to Circserv when it is finalized.

8) LSO Report--Penny
--New versions of display in Gladis, Pathfinder, and Melvyl for Bancroft,
now that they have reopened to patrons.

--Removed references to SSN on HELP INVENTORY screen and changed Service
Desk to Privileges Desk.

--Beginning of a pilot project on bSpace, partnered Learning Systems Group
with UC Libraries. The new service allows instructors with library course
reserves lists to display them as web pages inside of their course site on
bSpace. The reserve pages provide live, up to date circulation
information, drawn from Gladis, and displayed in a friendlier, easier
manner.

--Ethnic Studies, an affiliated library, has begun using AutoCirc, where
they can directly input billing to CARS and also delete.

--The secure FTP to tandem and between tandem and CARS is in place.

--Upcoming news: interviews are complete for the P/A II position and an
offer will soon be made.
