1. Systems Report (P. Bertrang)
Penny brought us up to date on Systems related issues from 6/22/05 – 7/18/05:  

a) Circcode changes to 308t – A program was run to change the circode to
“L” (non-circulating) in all MAIN records with 308t call numbers (UCB
archival theses and dissertations).  This program will be run every six
months to set the circode in newly acquired 308t’s.

b) Printer adjustments for circ notices as part of the move to the new Tandem.

c) ICPSR records loaded

d) NRLF Gladis Display.  Changes were made to NRLF Gladis displays
(similar to changes made to public Gladis and Gladis autocirc) to correct
display problems following the move to the new Tandem.

Upcoming:
a) BFS will be going down Sept 9-26th.  CARS & CUBS will continue billing
but if someone pays then returns the book, there will be a delay in
issuing the refund check.

b) Removal of SSN from patron records.

2. Announcements
a) Ester Gold new at MUSI (from MOFF)

b) Ted Couch new Operation Manager at MATH

c) Seminar room by Graduate Services is now being made available to UCB
patrons.

3. Minute Approval
Approved, a few minor corrections will be made before posting.

4. Change in Moffitt  (J. Thomas)
a) Moffitt will be re-instituting fines this fall.  Fines will be for
recalled items (2h & 1 day $20 max).  An announcement will be made on the
Library’s home page as well as signage and bookmarks.
 
b) The Moffitt circulation staff has begun the project of re-labeling the
entire collection from UNDE to MOFF.  Jonathan will provide progress
reports as the project proceeds.

Future agenda topics:
a) Where does official rules of circulation/sensitivity policy exist?

b) Removal of SSN from patron records and its impact.  One suggestion, so
far, to limit number of items for non-UCB patrons was brought up.  Penny
will run reports to look at the numbers.
