Katherine Mitchell, COrE consultant
M I N U T E S
At the last Cabinet meeting, Katherine Mitchell led the group in a
brainstorming exercise to begin thinking about strategies for budget
reduction. Katherine facilitated today's meeting as Cabinet worked in small
groups to answer these five questions:
What are the desired outcomes of the budget reduction work in the Library?
What types of changes will help achieve these outcomes?
What input is needed from the Library staff as a whole?
What parameters/criteria will help people develop useful/useable input?
Who will make the final decisions about what ideas to pursue to achieve the
desired outcomes?
Each group presented ideas to the entire group. Ideas captured in today's
meeting were transcribed, synthesized, and organized in an outline for
discussion at the next meeting on February 6. Katherine Mitchell will
facilitate the Cabinet discussion on February 6.
