CARS- what happens when?

A 2-hour item which has NOT
been billed for replacement is
returned overdue and fined

Overdue 2-hour item is returned and discharged normally.

A "Fine at Discharge" memo is produced
and sent to fining units only.

Unit calculates fine and sends bill to CARS
using GLADIS billing module. Fine
information is added to patron's inventory.
Patrons are not blocked for fines.

In case of dispute, the fine can be cancelled
by using the DCF command from the patron's inventory. Supervisor autocirc
logon is required.
