CARS- what happens when?

A billed item is paid for

Item is billed on CARS &# 160;

Patron pays bill

CARS notifies GLADIS. Patron is unblocked
and payment information added to the
item record and patron's inventory.

¦¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¦

If payment is unapplied, CARS will
Notify GLADIS. Patron is
re-blocked and payment
information removed.

If CARS bill remains paid, a
"Paid on CARS" memo will be
produced and sent to unit
30 days a fter the payment.

If item is found, it is discharged
and the "paid" memo is discarded.
Replacement charges will be
refunded to patron

If item is not found, the RFR command is
issued and the item referred for replacement
or withdrawal. Paid bill info disappears from
patron inventory when RFR command is issued.

If item is returned after RFR command
is issued, patron will not be automatically
refunded. Unit must contact LRO directly
to have bill cancelled.
