CLAIMING RESPONSIBILITIES
TITLES RECEIVED DIRECT
The subject specialty library is responsible for all as-encountered and Boolean
claiming in Innopac.
Claims, which are printed centrally, are returned to the subject specialty library
for review and mailing.
CENTRALLY RECEIVED TITLES
The central processing unit is responsible for as-encountered and all Boolean
claiming in Innopac.
The subject specialty library may generate as-encountered claims in Innopac.
Claims are reviewed and mailed by the central receiving unit.
TITLES CHANGING RECEIVING LOCATION (RLOC)
It should first be determined with what issue the address change will take effect.
The original location (Location 1) claims all issues prior to the starting issue.
The new location (Location 2) claims all issues after the starting issue.
If there is a gap or a lapse in holdings, the Collection Core Services Division
claims all issues with the vendor during the ordering process.
NEW ORDER CLAIMING
Depending on the acquisition type (ACQ TYPE), the Collection Core Services Division
or the Exchange Division claims all new orders.
The Collection Core Services Division and the Exchange Division perform Boolean
searches of all overdue orders.
A subject specialty library should contact these divisions if it believes a
claim should be sent for a new order.
