BTECHGRP (Berkeley Technical Services Discussion Group Forum) was established in February 1995, with the technical support from the Library's System Office at the University of California at Berkeley (UCB), in order to serve as a forum for those who do serials acquisitions and mainenance in libraries. This reflector is open to all staff. In addition, anyone (even those not subscribed) can send mail to the reflector, and it will be sent to all staff listed on the reflector.
We encourage people to send ideas or questions to BTECHGRP. Any messages regarding specific serial or book problems should be routed to the appropriate Technical Services Department staff. Absolutely no decisions can be made to change current procedures. Recommendations must go through the Technical Services Council.

Meeting Minutes
To submit BTECH minutes for posting on the Library Web do the following:
- Minutes must be created with Microsoft Word
- The header of the minutes must follow the convention:
BTECH Meeting of [month name] [date], [yyyy].
Example: BTECH Meeting of January 3, 2006 - The header of the minutes must be formatted as style Heading 1
- The name of the Word file must follow the naming convention:
btechmmddyy.docx
Example: btech010306.docx - Minutes ready for posting to the Library Web should be emailed as an attachment to helpbox.
