KEYING "DISCARD" RECORDS Revised: May 1997
Branches may key brief INNOPAC records to indicate a negative selection decision for titles that continue to arrive unsolicited. These records are coded UPLOAD=N to prevent them from uploading to GLADIS.

Optionally, branches may monitor the need for these records. It is possible to monitor receipt of subsequent issues by re-keying the information in the RLOC field with the same value and making changes to the record permanent. At a later date, a Boolean can be created to review and delete records with no activity (see BPM SERIALS MANUAL procedure for Creating a Boolean to Review "Discard" Records.).
