Guangdong Province,
Southern China

From the 19th century to World War II, over 90% of the Chinese population in the United States came from the Pearl River Delta region of Southern China. This detailed map provides the location of cities, villages, bridges, and rivers. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the region was redistributed.
