Introduction to Starting your Research
The South/Southeast Asia Library (S/SEAL) is the reference center materials related to Southeast Asia social sciences and humanities. Resources include materials from and about Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar/Burma, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Located In Room 120, the first floor of Doe Library, it is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and the public. Open hours are from 10:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday; 1:00 - 5:00 Saturday, during regular semesters, with reduced hours during the summer, intersession and holidays. S/SEAL offers specialized reference service, an extensive reference collection of approximately 3,600 titles and current awareness newspapers and serials. Through the public access terminals S/SSEAL also offers full access to the local CD-ROM network, online databases and connection to the internet. Students in Southeast Asian Civilizations 10A and 10B are encouraged to peruse this website for materials to support their research. And to visit the S/SEAL for reference assistance.
