This bibliography lists over 400 theses and dissertations on
African American topics completed at the University of California,

The Alternative Press Index (API), a leading guide to the alternative

created by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture,
covers events critical to the study of Black life and culture

Use the Chicano Database (@RLG) to retrieve records for all
types of materials in the areas of Mexican-American topics,
and since 1992, materials on other Latino cultures, e.g., Puerto

coverage includes art, language, sociology, public policy, economics,

by the British Library of Political & Economic Science of
the London School of Economics & Political Science. This
database contains bibliographic information from an international
selection of publications (including over 2600 journals) in

International coverage means that about 30 percent of records
in the database are published in languages other than English.
Records come from more than 100 countries and 70 languages.
Most articles and books not in English are provided with an
English title translation. This database provides citations

databases for current worldwide news and information. Lexis-Nexis
Academic supports a broad range of interdisciplinary research.
The database contains full text and abstracts of news, business,
and legal information and provides full-text access to nearly
6,000 individual titles. Users can search foreign and domestic
newspapers and wire services; radio and television transcripts;
and business, medical, industry, and legislative magazines,
journals, and newsletters. There is wide geographic coverage
and a translations from foreign-language sources, as well as
news services like Reuters, Associated Press, Agence France
Press, and Xinhua (New China) News Agency. The database is updated
daily for most newspapers and even hourly for some wire services
and media transcripts.

Women and Social Movements in the United States brings
together books, images, documents, scholarly essays, commentaries,
and bibliographies, documenting the multiplicity of womens reform
activities. Organized around the history of women in social
movements in the U.S. between 1600 and 2000, it seeks to advance
scholarly debates and understanding at the same time that it
makes the insights of women's history accessible to teachers
