How to get hereThe UC Berkeley website gives directions to the campus. The directions will take you to the corner of University Ave. and Oxford St., where you will find University Hall and the campus's West Entrance. The easiest access to Haviland Hall is from the North Gate entrance to the campus at the intersection of Hearst St. and Euclid Ave. From the West Entrance, go north on Oxford to the second traffic light (at Hearst) and turn right. Go up the hill to the second traffic light, at Euclid. On foot from this intersection, take the path immediately to the right as you step onto campus. The path will lead down the hill directly to Haviland Hall. You will find the library on the second floor of Haviland. From central campus or south campus (Sproul Plaza), go directly north on the main pedestrian thoroughfare across campus. When you reach the large brass plaque in the path commemorating the Memorial Glade, just outside Moffitt Library, look across the road ahead and you will see the CV Starr East Asian Library. To its left and slightly behind is Haviland Hall, tucked against the trees. Wheelchair access is at the north end of the building. Bicycle racks are located at the north of the building. The City of Berkeley has designated certain streets as bicycle boulevards. The Bicycle-Friendly Berkeley Coalition and East Bay Bicycle Coalition have a number of resources for getting around the Bay Area by bicycle, including bicycle maps of the East Bay. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition publishes a bicycle map for San Francisco. AC Transit and BART also accommodate bicycles. For information on travelling to the campus by public transit, see:
