SDC Summer 2017 Field Trip to the Oakland Museum of California

The SDC is pleased to announce it is sponsoring a summer field trip to the Oakland Museum of California

Our group will tour the three core collections, a highlight of the 1.9 million objects that make up the OMCA, to learn about the collection's history and organization.  You may learn more about the museum here.

  • When: Friday, June 9th @ 3pm
  • Who: Limited to 35 library staff members
  • Cost: Free, except for transportation
  • How: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to the OMCA.  (The museum is conveniently located two blocks from Lake Merritt BART Station)

We also invite staff to stay after the tour to enjoy Friday Nights at OMCA, which features live music, local artists, and food trucks.

Attendees must have their supervisor's permission to go on the trip.  Please forward your supervisor's permission with your intent to go on the trip to Jenifer Carter (jacarter@library.berkeley.edu) and C.C. SDC chair J.J. Mansalay (jmansala@library.berkeley.edu) by the end of Friday, June 2nd.  We are also available should you have any questions!
