What is SDC? The Staff Development Committee acts as a board of review for represented, non-academic staff applications for funding of educational or career-related activities. The allocation per employee for SDC funding for this fiscal year through June 30, 2017 is $600. Because the SDC budget is limited to $20,000, funding is on a first-come, first-served basis. SDC also arranges and sponsors staff tours to museums, libraries, and other venues of archival and conservation interest. SDC tours and presentations support career development and exploration by offering information on educational opportunities, exposure to the varied library-related work of local organizations, and the chance to meet with our colleagues in the community.
