This service is provided to OEHHA personnel only.
Translation of foreign language documents into English, and vice versa, is available to OEHHA staff. Please follow the procedures below to expedite your request. Contact Judy Bolstad (510) 642-2510 or jbolstad@library.berkeley.edu if you have any questions.
- Due to limited funding for translations, the approval of all OEHHA branch chiefs is required for each translation request. If you wish to request a translation, please email all the branch chiefs requesting preliminary authorization, with a Cc: to jbolstad@library.berkeley.edu. Ask the chiefs to use the "Reply All" function in responding to your message.
- Send a hard copy or pdf of the document you want translated to Judy Bolstad at the Public Health Library. Faxed documents are often not legible enough for the translation service.
- Ideally, the original document and the branch chiefs' preliminary authorization should be received by the Public Health Library 3 weeks before your deadline for the completed translation.
- Upon receipt of the original document and the preliminary authorizations, the Public Health Library will obtain a price quote for the translation. We will submit this quote for final approval to all the OEHHA branch chiefs.
- The translated document will be delivered to the requestor as an electronic file (MS Word document as an e-mail attachment).
