Please continue to return books to the book drop outside of Warren Hall. There is no book drop at University Hall.

September 6 Update: Course reserve instructions for faculty wishing to add material to reserves during the Public Health Library's closure

If you wish to add to your existing course reserve list or submit a new course reserve list during the library's closure Sept 14-Oct 5, please take your material and the following information to the Education/Psychology Library, 2600 Tolman Hall.
Information required for course reserves:
- Course number
- Instructor's name
- Telephone number of person to contact if there are questions
- Loan period for each item and whether it is Library Use Only
- Title for each item being submitted
- Call number if appropriate
The Education/Psychology Library's telephone number is 2-4209

Course reserves will be unavailable Sept. 13, 5pm until Sept. 14, 1pm and also on Oct. 8, 9am to 1pm. This is due to the time it takes to move the items from one location to the other and to process them at their new location. (Course reserves are moving to the Education/Psychology Library during our closure period)
The Public Health Library will stop taking requests for delivery of books or bound journals from NRLF as of September 11
Gladis/Pathfinder/Melvyl catalogs will soon display a note about our closure in every record that has Public Health Library holdings
There will be no reference service at the Public Health Library during closure. Use another campus library with regularly scheduled reference hours
School of Public Health dissertations have moved into the stacks (shelves) in the Public Health Library

Book Due Dates:

NRLF Requests for Books or Bound Volumes:

September 11: The Public Health Library will stop taking requests for delivery of books or bound journals from NRLF. If you request a book from NRLF, please have it delivered to another campus library
September 11: Public Health Library will no longer be listed in Pathfinder as a book/journal volume delivery location for items stored at NRLF
September 13: Last day NRLF will deliver books or bound volumes to the Public Health Library
There is no change in requesting journal articles via Pathfinder if you choose web delivery

Gladis/Pathfinder/Melvyl Records:

Soon you will start seeing closure notes displayed in every record in the Gladis, Pathfinder, and Melvyl catalogs that has Public Health Library holdings. The Public Health Library's print collection will be unavailable during the closure period. Online resources will not be affected.

Reference Service:

There will be no reference service at the Public Health Library during our closure. If you need reference assistance during this period, please visit another campus library with regularly scheduled reference hours:

School of Public Health Dissertations:

School of Public Health dissertations, which used to be located in the upstairs alcove at the Public Health Library, have been relocated. They are now filed in the call number RA3.6 area of the stacks (shelves).
At our new location in University Hall, these dissertations will remain in the RA3.6 are of the stacks.

Summary Information:

The Public Health Library will close on Thursday, September 13 at 5 PM and will reopen on Monday, October 8, 2007 at our new location.
The due dates for books that normally have a one-month circulation period have been adjusted so that all books checked out before our closure will be due October 17, 2007.
Please plan ahead to locate the material you need before closure. The library collection will not be accessible during closure.
- We will house and checkout reserves until we close.
- During closure, course reserve items will be located in the Education/Psychology Library, 2600 Tolman Hall.
- All library electronic resources will continue to be available from any campus computer.
The new address of the Public Health Library will be 1 University Hall.
Telephone and fax numbers will not change.
