Electronic Journals

The UC Berkeley Libraries provide access to thousands of electronic journals in all subject areas. The California Digital Library (CDL) has licensed most of these journals for the entire UC system, but some are licensed directly by the UCB Library. To access electronic journals at UCB, use the following resources:

UC-elinks icon   Getting Started with UC-eLinks: Click on the UC-eLinks icon in databases like PubMed, Web of Science, etc., to access the full text of the item you want, if available.

UC-elinks icon   UC-eLinks Citation Linker: Find a link to a known journal article (or book, book chapter, etc.) using UC-eLinks by entering bibliographic information (date, volume, pages) into an online form. Online access (if available), Melvyl catalog record, and interlibrary loan options are available.

UC-elinks icon   UC-eLinks Electronic Journals Search: Search or browse electronic journal titles available at UCB via UC-eLinks.

Melvyl - The Catalog of the University of California Libraries: This is the most comprehensive resource for locating journals in all disciplines, whether online or in print. You can search for the journal title by keyword or exact title, or you may browse for "Journal title begins with." (Recommended for single word journal titles such as Science or Nature).
