Statistical Sources

Lexis-Nexis Statistical (online database) provides abstracts of statistical publications issued by governments (state, federal, national), international governmental organizations, research institutions, business, professional, and trade organizations. Web links are available to some publications, others are available on microfiche. Record numbers with the prefix SRI are on microfiche at the Business & Economics Library. Record numbers with ASI or ISI prefixes are on microfiche at the Government and Social Science Information Library.

This database allows searching in Abstracts or in Power Tables Base Edition. A search in Abstracts allows you to search title, author, abstract, subject/descriptors, and agency/publisher of each document. A search in Power Tables Base Edition limits the search to  title and subject/descriptors for each publication. Use subject terms such as: Family planning; Contraceptives; Abortion; Sexual sterilization. Combine concepts using AND or OR. For example: abortion AND developing countries.
